The 15-year-old girl has amazed everyone with her bat. Yes, the 15-year-old, Shafali Verma has broken the 30-year-old record of young Sachin Tendulkar. She now became the youngest Indian cricketer to score a half-century in international cricket.
Shafali Verma’s records on Saturday
On Saturday (9th November), she scored 73 out of 49 balls in the first T20I match against West Indies women. In 1989, Sachin scored his first half-century against Pakistan in the Test match when he was 16 years and 214 days old. Shafali has now broken the record of the legend at the age of 15 years and 285 days.
Shafali Verma also becomes the second-youngest woman to score a T20I half-century after UAE’s Kavisha Egodage who was 15 years and 267 days when she achieved this feat. Shafali also crossed Rohit Sharma‘s record and become youngest Indian to score a T20I fifty.
